Care for today and every smile ahead

Each treatment starts with an exam and a plan you've agreed to. We explain the options, how many visits to expect and what it will cost, in writing, before we begin.

Comfort

Comfort and sedation

What we use, who gives it and how we keep watch, so there are no surprises in the chair.

  • Local numbing

The area is numbed before treatment starts. Tell us if it isn't working and we'll add more.

  • Nitrous oxide

For patients who want to feel more relaxed. You stay awake and can answer us at any time. We don't give deeper sedation here; if you need it, we refer you.

  • Who gives it

The dentist treating you gives the numbing and the nitrous oxide, with a trained team member in the room the whole time.

  • How we watch over you

Someone stays with you, checks how you are breathing and feeling, and we stop whenever you ask.

  • Before and after

We tell you when you book whether to eat beforehand and whether someone should drive you, and we say when you're ready to leave.

  • What we don't promise

We can't promise you won't feel anything. Tell us what worries you and we'll go over the options and their risks first.

The level of sedation a dentist may give depends on the permit the state dental board has issued. Ask us which permit your dentist holds.

  • Swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a serious blow to the head, or bleeding that won't stop needs emergency care now. Go to an emergency room or call 911. If a tooth is knocked out or broken, call our office right away.
