Questions are always welcome
Straightforward answers to common questions about our treatments, scheduling, and what to expect during your visits.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill most PPO dental plans and file the claim for you, and we check your benefits before your first visit. Whether we are in network depends on your plan, so call us and we'll tell you before you book.
What if I don't have insurance?
You pay the fee for your visit, and we give you a written estimate in advance, at scheduling or on request. Financing is offered by third-party lenders; approval and terms are set by the lender.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
Call us and we'll tell you plainly, before you book, whether we take your plan. Our How fees work page explains how we handle each kind of coverage.
Will it hurt?
We numb the area before we start, and you can raise your hand for a break at any point. Most people feel pressure rather than pain. Tell us what you feel and we adjust.
How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?
Your dentist decides, based on your health and your history. Many patients come every six months, and some need a different schedule. We'll agree one with you after your first visit.
What is a deep cleaning?
A deeper cleaning below the gumline, which your dentist recommends after measuring your gums. It often takes more than one visit, and we explain why before we start.
Do you see children, and from what age?
Yes, we see children and teens as well as adults. Call us to ask about your child's age, and we'll tell you what a first visit looks like.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
Call us. We hold time for urgent cases when we can, and we'll tell you what we can do today and what can wait. Trouble breathing or swallowing, bleeding that won't stop, or swelling that spreads to your face or neck is an emergency: call 911.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
We offer local numbing and nitrous oxide, given by your dentist with a trained assistant in the room. Our services page explains how each is given and how we watch over you. We don't promise you won't feel anything. If you need deeper sedation, we refer you.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. After your exam your dentist lists the treatment, the visits it takes and what it will cost, and our front desk goes through your benefits with you. You can ask for the estimate in writing at any time.
Do you speak Spanish?
Each dentist's languages are listed on their profile. Tell us your preferred language when you book, and we'll match you with someone who speaks it if we can.
How do I cancel or change a visit?
Call or message us as early as you can and we'll move you to another time. Ask about our cancellation policy when you book.
Ready to feel good about the dentist?
Tell us what you need. We’ll help you choose a comfortable first step, with clear answers and no pressure.
